1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Choplee ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Choplee does
Choplee is a bill-splitting and settlement ledger for groups. You can create splits, invite participants, upload receipts and payment proofs, and track who has paid. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Accounts
You must sign in with a valid account (for example, Google) and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate profile information and not impersonate another person. You may delete your account in Settings; deletion removes your Choplee data as described in our Privacy Policy. To prevent abuse, the same email address may not create a new Choplee account for 30 days after deletion.
4. Credits
Creating a bill collection may consume credits from your account. Credits are a feature of the Service and have no cash value unless we explicitly state otherwise. We may change credit pricing, grants, or limits at any time. Refunds, if any, are handled according to our published purchase and support policies. Deleting an account forfeits remaining credits; the 30-day email reuse delay exists in part to discourage cycling accounts for free credit grants.
5. User content
You retain ownership of receipts, payment proofs, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service. Do not upload unlawful, misleading, or infringing material.
6. Not a payment processor
Choplee helps you record and coordinate splits. We do not move money between users, hold funds, or guarantee that participants will pay. Settlement happens outside the app between you and your group.
7. Acceptable use
You may not abuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data, interfere with other users, or use Choplee for fraud or harassment. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that split calculations will meet your expectations in every edge case.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Choplee and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for amounts owed between users in connection with a split.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by other reasonable means.
