Refer friends on Choplee and earn credits for your next split
Share your personal Choplee referral link. When a friend signs up and settles their first owned bill, you earn 10 credits to create more splits.

Why referral credits exist
Credits are what let you create a new split in Choplee. They are not cash, GCash, or wallet balance — they only unlock the next bill collection. Referring a friend is a way to earn more of them when your circle grows.
Every active Choplee account gets a personal referral code. You share one link. If that friend is new, signs up from your link, and later finishes their first owned settled bill, you receive 10 credits.
Step 1 — Copy your share link
Sign in and open Settings → Refer friends. You will see your code and a full share URL that looks like choplee.com/welcome?ref=…. Copy the link and send it in chat, email, or wherever your group already talks.
If a code is missing, Choplee assigns one at signup and checks again whenever a bill you are on becomes settled. You do not need to invent a code yourself.
- Use Settings → Refer friends — that is the canonical place for your link
- The same code stays yours; you can share it with more than one person
- Credits from referrals are the same credits used on Create Split
Step 2 — They open the link before signing up
The referral attaches on first session. Friends should tap your link, land on Welcome, then continue with Google. Choplee remembers the `ref` code across the Google redirect (with a 48-hour window from signup).
Existing Choplee accounts do not qualify. A second Google login on an old profile will not pay a referral bonus, and you cannot refer yourself with another account.
Step 3 — Their first owned bill has to settle
Being added to someone else’s split is not enough. Your friend must create a bill (they are the owner), walk it through payment proofs, and have that collection marked settled.
Only the first owned settled bill counts. Later splits they create do not pay another bonus. When it lands, you get +10 credits, an email, and an in-app notification.
- New accounts only
- They must own the bill — invited members do not unlock the reward
- Reward fires once, on their first owned settled collection
- Your account must still be active (not disabled) when that bill settles
What you and your friend each get
Only you earn the referral credits. Your friend keeps their own starter credits and uses Choplee the same way anyone else does. Settlement money still moves outside the app — GCash, Maya, bank transfer, or cash — exactly as in the settlement flow.
If your account is disabled, or theirs is deleted before that first owned bill settles, the reward does not apply.
A simple way to use it with your barkada
Share the link when you are already organizing a trip or a recurring house bill. Once they have an account, they can create the next split themselves — and you get credits for the collections you still want to run.
If some people are not ready to sign up yet, you can still add them to a bill by Gmail or by name and send a settle link. That flow is covered in Settle a Choplee split without an account.
